Demo

Demo mode will not use real postage.  No label will print.  A fake tracking number will be generated for testing purposes.

 

Test

Test mode will not use real postage.  A fake, voided label will print to help with testing.  No tracking number will be generated.

 

Production

Production mode will use real postage, will print a real label, and will generate a real tracking number.  This mode should be used while actually mailing/shipping.

 

PC Postage uses DAZzle to print your shipping labels.  DAZzle will open and print when you press the 'Process Shipment' button.  If you would like DAZzle to close each time it prints, check this option.  Leaving DAZzle open may slightly increase your shipping speed if you notice DAZzle opening slowly.

 

Check this box if you would like to automatically print customs forms when mailing to APO/FPO addresses.  If this option is not checked and you mail to an APO/FPO address you may need to complete your customs forms elsewhere.

 

You can set up multiple 'ship from' addresses in PC Postage.  When PC Postage starts up, this selection will determine the initial, default ship from address.  Options include 'Use label layout address' and any 'ship from' addresses you have already set up.  To set up your ship from addresses, see: Ship From setup.

 

Address validation is used to check the existence of an address with USPS.  If the ship to address is not an exact match with a true address, a suggested address that is a close match to the original will be offered.  Check this option to enable address validation.

 

Check this box if you would like to apply address validation changes automatically.  If address validation suggests a change and you press process shipment, your label will show the corrected address. 

 

Leave this box unchecked if you would like to correct addresses manually.  PC Postage will not allow you to ship until a valid address is entered.

 

This option is only used if 'Enable address validation' is checked.
