Setting up the OzLINK Mobile ServerFirewall Settings
OzLINK Mobile Server is often blocked by Windows Firewall and other firewall software. Make sure you have allowed the software to communicate through the firewall on your server. Your IT staff may need to do this for you. Important: This step is essential for communication between your mobile devices and your server. Please double check these settings on all of the firewalls running on your server and on your network equipment.
Set IP
In the OzLINK Mobile Server window, click File, then Setup. In the Server section of the setup screen, enter the IP address of your server. If your server uses a dynamic IP then leave the IP Address as "First Assigned." Leave the default port as 3800 unless that port is already being used by another program. The OzLINK Mobile Server will use the assigned port for the main server, and one port higher for each worker you are using. Example: With two workers, OzLINK would use ports 3800, 3801, and 3802. For more details about workers, see: About Workers
Suggestion: The server will be more easily accessible with a static IP address.
Set Location
In the OzLINK Mobile Server window, click File, then Setup. In the NetSuite Location section of the setup screen, click Change next to the current location. OzLINK will connect to NetSuite and gather your available locations. Choose the one where you are located. The OzLINK Mobile Server can only be used in one location at a time.
Update Bins
In the OzLINK Mobile Server window, click File, then Setup. In the NetSuite Location section of the setup screen, click Update next to Bins. OzLINK will connect to NetSuite and gather information about your bins. Use the Update button whenever you change your bins in NetSuite.
For more information about the other setup options, see: OzLINK Server Setup window.
Next Step: Prepare your device before installing the OzLINK app (Windows Mobile 6.1) (Windows Mobile 6.5)
