Prepare your Device - Windows Mobile 6.1
Overview
Before installing any OzLINK software on your device, make sure it can successfully connect to your wireless network everywhere it will be used and that it can communicate with your server. The instructions below are for Windows Mobile 6.1. If you have 6.5, see:

If you are using a Psion WorkAbout device, there is some extra required setup. Please see: WorkAbout Setup.
Wireless Network Connection
First, you must set your network connection to communicate through My Work Network.
Tap the Start menu, then tap Settings.
Tap the Connections tab, then tap Connections to open the connections settings area.
Tap the Advanced tab at the bottom of the screen, then tap the Select Networks button.
Set both dropdown menus on the Network Management screen to My Work Network.
Now configure your network card to connect through the Work network.
Tap the Start menu, then tap Settings.
Tap the Connections tab at the bottom of the screen, then tap Network Cards
Set the dropdown box in Configure Network Adapters to Work
Test your wireless internet connection
The top bar of your device should show a double arrow without any x's when it is successfully connected:
Open Internet Explorer on your device and try navigating to a website. If your web browser cannot connect, please contact the person responsible for your wireless network or your device vendor for additional help before setting up OzLINK.
Once your device can get online through Internet Explorer you can test your connection to your server. Your IT staff will likely have to do this for you.

Set up a shared folder on the server where OzLINK Mobile will be installed and make sure it is accessible by other devices on your network.

Navigate to the shared folder using your wireless device

If you can access the folder, continue to
installing OzLINK on your device. If you can connect to the internet but cannot connect to your server, please contact your network administrator or your device vendor for additional help before setting up OzLINK.
