Batch Data Returned

 

Overview

When working with batches in Excel, each type of transaction sends back a different set of information to Excel.  You can choose which bits of information you would like to record.  See below for details about each transaction.  If you would like to see the required information to initiate a transaction, see: Minimum Fields to Map.
 
 

Address Validation

 
UPS will not always send back values for every possible field.  For example, it is unlikely that a residential address will include a "building name."  The following information can be recorded in Excel when validating an address:

Status of the address.  Examples:  VALID, AMBIGUOUS
Address Validation::Classification
Residential or Commercial
Address Validation::Consignee Name
Consignee Name, if any

To validate a full street level address you must turn street level on in OzLINK.  To turn on street level validation in OzLINK, click the Setup menu in OzLINK for UPS, select Address Validation, then check the Enable street level validation box.
 
 

Rating

 
The following information can be recorded in Excel when validating an address:

Rating::Published Rate
The normal cost to ship the package
Rating::Negotiated Rate
Your cost to ship the package based on your rate discounts
Rating::Business Transit Days
Number of business days the package will be in transit
Rating::Arrival Date
Arrival Date

Rating::Arrival Day of Week
Arrival Day of Week (MON, TUE, WED, etc)
Rating::Error
Tells you if anything went wrong (always record this)
 
 

Tracking

 
The following information can be recorded in Excel when tracking a package:

Most recent package status.  Example:  Delivered
Tracking::City
Current city that the package is in
Tracking::State
Current state that the package is in
Tracking::Location Description
Where the package was delivered.  Examples:  PORCH, FRONT DOOR
Tracking::Signature Available
Y or N, if the signature can be viewed
Tracking::Proof of Delivery
A link to the UPS website with a proof of delivery form
Tracking::Signed For By Name
Name of the person who signed for the package
Tracking::Status Type
Short version of the current package status.  Example:  D for Delivered

Current package status.  Example: Delivered
Tracking::Date
Date of the last status update
Tracking::Time
Time of the last status update
Tracking::Service
The service used to ship
Tracking::Package Weight
Weight of the package in pounds
